What is a fast food franchise?

With a franchise you open your own store under a well-known brand. You are an independent entrepreneur but use a proven concept: brand, recipes, processes, purchasing, technology and marketing come from the franchisor.

Loco Chicken is run by LANCH, a tech company from Berlin. As a franchisee you get not only a restaurant concept but also the digital tools behind it.

Why a chicken franchise with Loco Chicken?

Loco Chicken focuses on crispy fried chicken with its own flavours. A focused menu makes purchasing, storage and onboarding easier than many other restaurant concepts.

The brand is carried by well-known creators and celebrities, and Loco Chicken sells in store as well as via delivery platforms.

Master franchise or sub-franchise?

As a master franchisee you get the exclusive right to build Loco Chicken across an entire country – with several stores and your own sub-franchisees.

As a sub-franchisee you start with one or a few stores in your city or region, as a partner of a master franchisee or directly with LANCH.

What do you need?

Entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for hospitality and the will to take responsibility in the store. Experience in restaurants, quick service or team leadership is an advantage.

You need a suitable property, ideally in a good city-centre location. We search for it together.

How much does a Loco Chicken franchise cost?

The investment depends mainly on the store type. Loco Chicken works with three standardised formats – from compact takeaway stores to flagships in prime locations.

Become a franchise partner

Where is Loco Chicken franchising?

Loco Chicken already has franchises in Sweden and Austria. Denmark and India are in preparation, and we are talking to more countries. We are looking for franchise partners globally.

The process in six steps

From the first conversation to the contract, the timeline depends mainly on finding a location. Once the property is handed over, your store can open in around 4 weeks – we support fit-out, training and launch.

  1. Application: fill in the form on the franchise page.
  2. Getting to know each other: we talk about your experience, goals and the right model.
  3. Location search: together we assess properties in good locations.
  4. Contract: we agree on all terms and sign the franchise agreement.
  5. Training: you and your team learn recipes, processes and systems. Fit-out, training and opening: approx. 4 weeks after property handover.
  6. Opening: your store launches – in-store and on delivery platforms. Fit-out, training and opening: approx. 4 weeks after property handover.

What does the location need?

The space you need depends on the store type: a Kiosk Store needs a 25 m² kitchen and little or no dining area, while a Flagship Store needs more than 80 m² of dining area and is intended only for tier-1 cities.

  • Visible location with foot traffic
  • Kitchen suitable for fit-out, including exhaust ventilation
  • Enough storage space
  • Short routes for delivery riders

How can you finance your franchise?

Many founders combine their own capital with bank financing. Many countries also offer public start-up loans or guarantees – ask your bank which programmes apply to you.

A proven franchise concept with clear processes helps in bank meetings. We support your business plan with information about the concept.

How LANCH supports you

Technology: POS system, connection to the delivery platforms and sales data from one source.

Marketing: campaigns with well-known creators and celebrities build the brand – for your store too.

Training and purchasing: digital training content and a shared supply chain keep daily operations predictable.

What successful franchise partners do right

The most successful stores have one thing in common: the partners believe in the concept and apply it consistently. In practice, that means:

  • Being in the store: especially in the first months, the partner is on site, trains the team and gets to know the guests.
  • Location before rent: a slightly more expensive unit with high footfall usually pays off faster than a cheap one on a side street.
  • Planning for delivery from day one: short routes for riders, good platform ratings and fast preparation bring extra sales.
  • Watching the numbers: tracking food cost, staff hours and sales daily lets you react early. The LANCH POS system provides the data.
  • Keeping the team: good onboarding and clear processes reduce turnover – and with it the cost of constant retraining.

In the introductory call, we're happy to share what has worked in our existing stores.

Loco Chicken vs. classic franchises

Many large burger and chicken chains rely on big spaces, long menus and high upfront investment. Loco Chicken takes a different route: compact stores, a focused chicken menu and lean equipment keep fit-out, purchasing and training simple.
